After working for many years in senior management positions within various large consulting organizations, Gerard developed a desire to fully focus again on what he is passionate about: experiencing change processes with and for clients and making them a success.
In July 2020, after 15 years of working for major consulting firms, Gerard decided to change course, founding Planders BV and mobilizing a network of collaboration partners.
Gerard is an energetic person who looks to the future with curiosity. He is characterized by strong analytical, communicative, and social skills. From an advisory and connecting perspective, he uses these skills to create overview and insight in complex issues. He knows how to achieve sustainable results by combining deep understanding, context, and vision with the ability to turn challenges into feasible and accepted solutions using modern leadership techniques. After completing his studies in Business Administration at the Rotterdam School of Management, he completed the post-master's degree in Management Consulting (MMC) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2016.
Over the past few years, he has been heavily involved in setting up and shaping (project) organizations. He has been able to focus on the objectives that matter and develop broad support among stakeholders.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Gerard is also the chairman of the Friends of Prattenburg Estate Foundation and an active member of Rotary.
